Whitley City Elementary Parents
On behalf of the Whitley City Elementary Staff, it is my pleasure to welcome you as we begin the new school year. We at WCES are very pleased to welcome everyone as we look forward to an exciting and productive year! To those students and parents who are new to WCES we extend an especially warm welcome and best wishes. We hope you will quickly feel at home and become involved in the activities of our school.
Our staff has been very busy this summer preparing for the school year, and I’m certain you will see the accomplishments right away. Along with that, several changes have occurred.
*Start & end times- The buses will be unloading at 7:30 a.m. for those students who ride the bus. School will start at 8:00 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m.
Other relevant changes:
*To ensure student safety: Parents are not allowed to enter the classroom halls. If you are a volunteer, you will need to sign in at the front office and wear your badge at all times.
*Teachers will not be taking calls during instruction time. They will be available for calls or scheduled visits during their planning times. Therefore, please email or call, and they will get back to you as soon as possible.
Other changes will be implemented as necessary. We are constantly seeking ways and opportunities to benefit students and staff.
We are excited about this new school year and look forward to having your students at WCES
